Weymouth- Joseph  T. Villa, age 74, passed away on October 31. 2016. Joseph was born and raised in Hyde Park, lived in West Roxbury and moved to Weymouth in 1976. Joseph served in the U.S. Air Force from 1961 to 1965.  Mr. Villa worked for American Airlines at Logan Airport from 1965-1970, he then went into Law Enforcement.  He was an inspector for the Registry of Motor Vehicle.  In 1992 his unit was merged with the Massachusetts State Police. He worked mostly in commercial vehicle enforcement. He retired as a Lieutenant in 1996. After his retirement, Mr. Villa worked in federal building security and as a supervisor for A & A Metro Transportation company  of  Quincy and Newton . He was a member of the Mass Motor Vehicles Inspectors Association, the former Mass Troopers Association, the American Legion, the Retired State Workers Association and the Blue Knights Motorcycle Club.

Beloved  husband  of 53 years to  Mary Ellen (Fennell) Villa. Devoted father  of  Donna  Villa of Weymouth, Barbara  Villa Ford and her husband Michael of Plymouth, Joanne Keegan and her husband Jeff of Weymouth and Christine Villa and her partner Mark Walker of Weymouth.  Beloved  brother of Joan Abracham of Salem and Ronald Villa and his wife Deborah of Stoughton.   Loving  Papa to  Pvt. Joseph Ford,  U.S. Army, Julia & Jenna Ford , Jessica & Jacob Keegan .  Mr. Villa is predeceased by his parents Joseph T. and Eva M (Meleo) and his sister Anne S. Villa.

Memorial visiting hours at the Clancy-Lucid Funeral Home, 100 Washington St. Weymouth  on  Saturday, November  5  from 2 until 6 pm. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
