Thomas J. O’Malley, Sr.

Braintree-  Thomas J. O’Malley, Sr., in his 96th year, entered into eternal life on January 28, 2017. Tom was born in Charlestown, grew up in Dorchester and has lived in East Braintree since 1955.  Mr. O’Malley was a WW II Army veteran and served in the African theatre. Mr. O’Malley was a steamship clerk at the Boston waterfront and a member of the International Longshoremen’s Association, Local #1066. He was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church, Weymouth.  Beloved husband of the late Margaret R. (Waterman) O’Malley, and the late Mary T. (Wanders) O’Malley. Devoted father of Virginia Spyridopoulos and her husband George of Quincy, Thomas J. O’Malley, Jr. and his wife Beverly Arsem of Jamaica Plain, Kathleen M. O’Malley of Brookline, Margaret R. Doneghey and her husband Robert of Abington, Marie T. O’Malley and her husband Michael Morin of Milton, Eileen C. O’Malley of Braintree, and the late Kevin J. O’Malley and the late Patricia A. Brennan. Beloved brother of the late John, Joseph, Edmund, Frances Bristol, and Mildred Bennett. Loving grandfather of 15 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral from the Clancy-Lucid Funeral Home 100 Washington St. Weymouth Landing on Wednesday, February 1 at 9:30 am. Funeral Mass in the Sacred Heart Church, Weymouth at 10:30 am. Relatives, neighbors and friends are respectfully invited.  Visiting hours on Tuesday from 2-4 and 5-9 pm.
