Weymouth-Allan B.”Nick” Nichols, age 82, passed away peacefully after a short illness at his home with his family at his side on October 6, 2017 Nick lived in  Hanover  before moving to Weymouth in 1956. Mr. Nichols was an  independent contractor building homes on the South Shore for many years.     He was a charter member of the Braintree Lodge of Elks. He and his wife spent their winters with many friends in Newport Ritchey, Florida where he loved entertaining and was the frequent host of many parties and gatherings. An avid classic car lover, Nick enjoyed attending local car shows where he loved to show his 1963 Plymouth Fury.   Beloved husband  of Shirley A. (Pratt) Nichols for 61 years. Dedicated  and devoted  father of Judith Nichols of Cohasset, Allan B. Jr. of Weymouth, Donna King of Plymouth,  Steven and his wife Cheryl of Kingston and Lora Mirick of Whitman. Beloved brother of David of Kingston,  and the late Warren Nichols. Loving papa to 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.  Visiting hours at the Clancy-Lucid Funeral Home 100 Washington St. Weymouth Landing on Saturday, October 14 from 11 until 3 pm. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.

    Nick was an exceptionally warm and loving person whom we admired and loved. What a great man! We are so blessed to have known him as a friend and neighbor. We love you Nick and are going to miss you!
