Barbara A. Soule

Whitman-Barbara A. (Atkinson) Soule, age 70, entered into eternal life suddenly  on January 18, 2018. Barbara was born and raised in Hyde Park and Roslindale, lived in Weymouth for 32 years before moving to Whitman.  Beloved wife of George E. Soule, Jr. Devoted mother of Steven and his wife Dianne of Hanson and Karen McHugh of Weymouth. Loving grandmother of Madison, Nora, Jordyn and Liam. Beloved sister Mary ‘Pat’ Smith, Kathryn Kerr and her husband Ray, Frederick Atkinson Jr, Janet Lydon and her husband Joe, Judy Atkinson and her husband Bill, Brian Atkinson and his wife Martha, Gregory Atkinson and his late wife Laurie, and Nancy Atkinson Sister-in-law of Elizabeth Soule and the late Kevin Soule. Aunt of many cherished nephews and nieces. Barbara passed away peacefully; Mrs. Soule worked  for the Town of Weymouth School department, N.E. Telephone company and at Sacred Heart School in Weymouth. She  was a devoted bingo player, loved playing cards and always thinking of others before herself. She was a social butterfly, loved people and taking care of them. She was a fighter and beat the odds in surviving an AVM in 1992, she was considered a miracle, but those that knew her best didn’t doubt her for a minute. She progressed to be able to live a full life again with her husband George, family and many beloved friends. She will be remembered as the most thoughtful person to those she loved.  Funeral from the Clancy-Lucid Funeral home, 100 Washington St. Weymouth Landing on Monday January 22 at 9 am Funeral Mass in the Sacred Heart Church, Weymouth at 10 am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours on Sunday from 12-4 pm. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Burial in Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton If desired,  donations can be made in Barbara’s name to the Brain Aneurysm Foundation www.bafound.org
