Catherine “Katie” E. Collins, age 68, entered into eternal life on January 14, 2026. Katie was a lifelong Weymouth resident. Beloved wife of George L. Cavanaugh. Devoted mother of William J. Cavanaugh of Weymouth. Beloved sister of Mary Wadman of Bradenton, Florida, Paul “Michael” Collins of Virginia Beach, Frances Tolini and her husband Richard of Portsmouth, NH, William of Hanover, and the late Christine Levesque, Alice Lavoie, and John Collins. Daughter of the late John and Elinor Collins. Aunt to many nieces and nephews, cousins, and in-laws. Funeral from the Clancy-Lucid Funeral Home, 100 Washington St., Weymouth on Tuesday, January 20 at 9:15 AM. Funeral Mass in St. Jerome Church, 632 Bridge St. North Weymouth at 10:30 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours on Monday from 3- 7 PM. Cremation to follow.
