Christine “Tina” Madej, age 62, passed away peacefully on September 11, 2025. Tina was raised by her grandmother Veronica Madej in South Boston and lived in Braintree for the past 22 years. She was a taxi driver for the I.T.O.A. Taxi Company in South Boston for many years where she did what she loved, speaking to and helping strangers navigate to their destinations in the city she loved with her classic Boston accent. Tina was a loving mother to Anthony Avendano and his wife Avneet of Detroit, Joseph “Joey” Venezia of Boston, and Tiana and Ryan Paquin of New Hampshire. Beloved sister of Andrea “Angie” and her husband Timothy Kenney of Braintree. She was a loving Nana to her three grandchildren, Joseph, Johnathan and Ayana, and one more on the way Vera, along with being the aunt to Robert Fleming, Sarah Kenney and Timothy Kenney. Funeral from the Clancy-Lucid Funeral Home, 100 Washington St., Weymouth on Saturday, September 20 at 9 AM. Funeral Mass at Our Lady Queen of Peace Parish at Sacred Heart Church Weymouth at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours on Friday from 4 -8 Pm. Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery West Roxbury.
