Constance “Connie” M. (Noonan) Roberts, of Braintree, passed away peacefully in her sleep on December 11, 2023, at the age of 95.

Born on June 10, 1928, in Somerville, Connie was the daughter of the late Cornelius and Madeline (Foley) Noonan and the beloved sister of the late Madelyne “Lyne” (Noonan) Welch. Raised in Somerville, she graduated from Somerville High School in 1946. Married in 1951, Connie and her late husband Leo made Braintree their home, where they raised their family. Connie worked as the Executive Assistant to the Regional Director of the Small Business Administration in Boston for 20 years. She shared her beautiful voice for over 25 years as a member of the Sacred Heart Church choir in Weymouth Landing. Connie was an avid sports enthusiast and devoted Red Sox fan.

Connie was the cherished wife of the late Charles “Leo” Roberts and the devoted mother of Barry Roberts and his wife Patty of Duxbury, Mark Roberts and his wife Jean of Westford, Neil Roberts and his wife Sue of Braintree, Lynne Coppens of Quincy, Leslie Freed (and the late Roger Freed) of Marshfield, Fran Roberts of Braintree, and Lauren Knapp and her husband Don of Scituate. A loving grandmother of sixteen and a proud great-grandmother of eighteen. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Connie’s family was her greatest joy.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Clancy-Lucid Funeral Home, 100 Washington St., Weymouth Landing on Sunday,  December 17, from 2 PM until 6 PM. Funeral from the Clancy-Lucid Funeral Home on Monday, December 18, at 9:30 AM. Funeral Mass at Our Lady Queen of Peace Parish at Sacred Heart Church, 72 Washington St., Weymouth at 10:30 AM. Burial at Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne at 1:30 PM.

May Connie rest in eternal peace, her legacy of love and warmth forever cherished by those who were fortunate to know her.

    So sorry to hear of her passing. I remember her as being an awesome person and mother to Her outstanding children. My sincere condolences to her family.
