Dan was a wonderful, warm and heartfelt person who truly lived up to his role as a devote and avid Catholic. Through Dan’s untiring and devoted efforts he brought firefighters both active and retired from across the State and beyond together in an organization he cofounded at annual retreats specifically for firefighters at Miramar and continued for many years afterward at monthly gatherings across the region where firefighters would gather for a communal “firehouse” meal and also engage in prayer and reflection usually led by noted speakers on related Christian firefighter issues.
Dan was strong and convincing in his convictions and conveyed this through his exemplary demeanor
All who were members of the Miramar Christian Firefighters of the Cross deeply loved and respected Dan and the example he practiced and lived.
Dan will be truly missed by all those whose lives he touched and especially his fellow brother and sister firefighters
