Francine B. Backlund, age 83, entered into eternal life on November 3, 2023. Francine was a lifelong Braintree native. She worked in the hospitality field at the former Winfield House in Quincy. In her retirement she enjoyed traveling to Cape Cod with her brother Michael and her late sister-in-law Louise. Fran enjoyed cooking and caring for her cat. She was the beloved daughter of the late Roland and Florence (Lyons) Backlund. Sister of Michael of Braintree and her cousins David and Linda Farrag and other Backlund relatives. Visiting at the Clancy-Lucid Funeral Home, 100 Washington St Weymouth Landing on Wednesday November 8 from 9:30 until 10:00 AM. Funeral Mass at Our Lady, Queen of Peace parish at the Sacred Heart Church, 72 Washington St., Weymouth at 10:30 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
