George H. DeYoung March 27,2022

George H. DeYoung of Weymouth, age 95, entered into eternal life on March 27, 2022.  George was born and raised in Braintree and has lived in Weymouth for 70 years.  Mr. DeYoung was a Navy veteran of both WW II, and the Korea Wars. He then joined the Air Force and retired during the Vietnam War era. George was owner and operator of Chafe Pest Control Company in Quincy. George enjoyed camping, bingo, and gardening but mostly he loved his family. Devoted husband of the late Bernice “Bunny” DeYoung who died in 2009. Devoted father of Carole Hamill and her husband Peter of Carver, Nancy McWalter and her husband David of Weymouth John and his wife Betty of Braintree, Paul and his wife Alex of Weymouth and the late David DeYoung.  Beloved brother of Betty Snaith of Quincy and the late Rita Hurley, and William DeYoung. Loving grandfather to 10 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.  Funeral from the Clancy-Lucid Funeral Home 100 Washington St. Weymouth on Saturday April 2 at 9 AM. Funeral Mass in St. Albert the Great Church 1140 Washington St. East Weymouth at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.  Visiting hours on Friday from 4 until 8 PM.  Burial to follow in Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton.
