Bridgewater – Jacqueline (Mabray) Richardson, age 73, entered into eternal life on May 28, 2017 after a long illness, Multiple Scerlosis. Jackie was born in Newark, New Jersey, grew up in the Bronx and spent her adult life in South Orange, N.J. and more recently in Bridgewater, Massachusetts. She died peacefully at the Spaulding Rehab in West Roxbury, M.A.

On June 8, 2017 her family privately celebrates her arrival in heaven, joining her 3 siblings and parents Charles and Mary Mabray. Jackie was an inspiration to her family.

Devoted wife and mother she was an almost daily volunteer in every single school her children attended. Mrs. Richardson enjoyed a career as a NYC fashion model and paralegal. She also worked as a bank teller, and high School guidance administrative assistant.

With roots in the church she was a foot soldier in her community. She is remembered as an effective get-out-the-vote advocate, political activist and agent of change.

She loved travel and adventure, finding sheer joy in both her trip to Paris and her visit to her local park. She loved to play tennis and taught the whole family to love the game.

After her early years in New York she attended Barringer High School in Newark, N.J and was a Liberal Arts and Music Major at South Carolina College.

Regal in every way, “she was quite a lady”, a common thought among all who met her.

She is survived by her husband Robert Richardson. She’s the devoted mother of Rhondella Richardson and Ryon Richardson, both of Bridgewater. Loving grandmother of Rhylee Richardson Porter.  She is also survived by her son-in- law Mark Porter, and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral Arrangements by the Clancy-Lucid Funeral Home, Weymouth.
