James A. Lyons, age 86, entered into eternal life on August 2, 2025, after a brief illness. Jim grew up in St. Margaret’s parish in Dorchester, and lived in Brockton before moving to Weymouth, where he resided for 30 years. Mr. Lyons served in the U.S. Army. He worked for Patent Scaffolding Company in Medford for 35 years and was the shop Steward there for Teamsters Local 379. Beloved husband of Kathleen M. (Murphy) Lyons. Devoted father to Kathleen Corkery and her husband Christopher of Bedford, New Hampshire, Sean Lyons of Charlottesville, Virginia, and the late James M. Lyons. Loving Papa to Nicholas, Andrew, Nathaniel, and Evangeline. Private funeral services were held at the Clancy-Lucid Funeral Home in Weymouth. Burial in Central Cemetery in Randolph.
