She was a friend like no other. I was blessed to spend time with her just before Thanksgiving. We spent six weeks together in a winter sojourn in Paris almost thirty years ago. I will never forget the things she taught me about family, faith and devotion. God speed my friend. Jeanne Keller

I was preparing to send my annual holiday greetings to Jean when I noticed her recent death. My father John Gleason, was a cousin to Jean’s mother. I remember the garden parties Jean had in the summer at her house on Main St., but my best memory of her was when she visited me in Fairbanks, Alaska, and she donned rain gear and hopped in a canoe for a float down the upper Chena River. It was a little more exciting than either of us has planned due to a lot of sweepers, but Jean was always up for adventure. I hope your family enjoys lots of memories of Jean as you share your loss.
