
Butler, Karen A., 65, entered into eternal life on November 30, 2021. Born June 13,1956 in Boston, MA. Karen Butler is the beloved daughter of the late Theresa Joyce and stepdaughter of Fredrick Hanley of Weymouth. She was raised in South Boston and has lived in Braintree for many years. She was a certified nursing assistant and home health aide. Karen loved her time as a youth basketball coach and dog walker. Above all else, Karen loved spending time with family, especially in her role as doting Nana to her cherished granddaughter. She loved being at the beach, watching lifetime movies, and playing cribbage and yahtzee (especially when she won).
Karen is the beloved fiancé of Stephen Leadbetter. Devoted mother of John J. Butler and his wife Kristen of Hanover, and her late infant son Matthew. Cherished Nana to Cassidy. Loving sister of Susan Volosevich of Hanson, Janice Bennett of Needham, Paul Butler of Boston, Diane Butler of Weymouth, Maureen Butler of Weymouth, and the late Joseph Butler. Loving Auntie to many nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Clancy-Lucid Funeral home, 100 Washington Street, Weymouth on Tuesday December 7. at 10:30 AM. Funeral mass in the Sacred Heart Church weymouth at 11:30 AM. Relatives and friends are respectively invited. Visiting hours on Monday from 4-8 PM. Steve, I can’t begin to tell you how sorry I am. I know she meant everything to you. Yes, you will miss her and like me, as you said, you will eventually move on. Again , so terribly sorry.
