Margaret Frances Lindsay

Quincy-Margaret “Fran” (Curran) Lindsay, age 88, entered into eternal life on July 25, 2017  Fran was born and  raised in South Boston, lived in Quincy for many years before moving to Weymouth 8 years ago. Mrs. Lindsay was a social worker for the Quincy Welfare Department for many years.  She was  an active  parishioner of Saint John the Baptist Church and a member of their  choir. She was a Cub Scout den mother and a member of the Catholic Daughters of America. Beloved wife of Stephen J. Lindsay. Devoted mother of Judith Lindsay Rogas of Las Vegas, Stephen F. Lindsay and his wife Christine of Weymouth, James W. Lindsay of Las Vegas, Kevin J. Lindsay and his  wife Denise of East Bridgewater. Loving Grammie of Jennifer (Lindsay) Chamberlin, Stephen Lindsay, Theresa Lindsay, Kevin Lindsay  and Patrick Lindsay. Great-grandmother to Isabelle Chamberlin. Fran was pre-deceased by her brother Patrick Curran and sisters Mary Curran, Theresa Henderson, Barbara Curran, Winnifred LeBreton, and Anna Young. Fran  is survived by many nieces nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.  Funeral from the Clancy-Lucid Funeral Home, 100 Washington St. Weymouth landing on Saturday July 29 at 8:45  am.  Funeral Mass in the Saint John the Baptist Church, Quincy at 10 am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours are on Friday from   2-4 and 6-8 pm.  Burial in Village Cemetery, Weymouth.  A special thanks to the Hospice of the South Shore   and also  to  the Celtic Angels of Weymouth.
