Marie R. (LaMantia) Cafarella, age 99, entered into eternal life On March 1 2021. Marie was raised in New Rochelle, N.Y. and Quincy and has lived in Weymouth for 61 years. Beloved wife of the late John J. Cafarella. Devoted mother of John Jr. and his wife Patricia of Townsend, Paul and his wife Ava of Carver, Adair and his wife Tamarin of Middlefield, Mark and his wife Janice of Marshfield, David of Plymouth, Susan Foote and her husband Tim of Weymouth, and Peter of Weymouth. Loving grandmother to John III, Jean-Paul, Shelby, Jennifer, Elizabeth, Merlin, Joshua, Theresa , Amy, Nicole, and Jade. Great-grandmother to Logan, Julia, Koryn and Ashlee and 4 great-grandchildren Beloved sister the late Winifred Creech, Anthony LaMantia, and Joseph LaMantia. Funeral Mass and burial in Mount Wollaston Cemetery are private. The Cafarella family wishes to acknowledge and express heart thanks to Marie caregivers, Barbara, Michelle, Karen, Susan, a Peter. and Tim. Special acknowledgement to Adair for his many years of support. Marie adored children and loved and missed her late husband John. Marie will be sorely missed but not forgotten. My dearest grandmother, my bebee, my Grammy how I loved you and looked up to you so much. How I admired you. You were the kindest strongest sweetest woman I have ever seen or known. I cherish every memory I have with you and of you. I am thankful I got to see you and talk with you on video chat in your last few months thanks to my beautiful sweet kind cousin jennifer who is alot like you Grammy. Grammy I remember the special times i had with you especially when I lived at your house. It was a joy coming to see you every sunday as child. So many memories. You always looked and smelled beautiful kind words and hugs and kisses and you will forever be known as the best cook and baker in the universe! I aspire to be like you in so many ways. The love you had for all of us and showed to all of us I will never forget. May all learn from your example. I know you loved God, and you had jesus in your heart, and that now He has walked you up into the stairs of heaven and you are happy and smiling with all your loved ones especially papa. You will be missed loved cherished may we all aspire to be a loving strong woman like you were. Gone but not forgotten. I love you always and forever Grammy.
