She was a proud graduate of Sacred Heart High School, Class of 1969, and devoted many years of service to her work at Retina Associates, Boston Medical Center, and Carney Hospital. In recent years, she found great joy in caring for two of her grandnieces several days each week. Mary was devoted to her family and treasured the many happy times they shared together. She especially enjoyed annual family vacations in Pocasset, as well as memorable trips to Ireland, California, and Arizona. She also enjoyed Boston sports, CourtTV, and faithfully watching Big Brother each summer. Mary will be fondly remembered for her quick wit, her warm heart, and the wonderful sense of humor that brought laughter to those around her. She also leaves behind her sisters-in-law, Rose Donoghue of Weymouth, and Carol Donoghue of Hanover, along with many cousins. Mary was especially treasured as “Auntie Mary” to 11 nieces and nephews and 8 grand-nieces and grand-nephews, all of whom will miss her deeply. Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, August 15th from 1pm to 3pm at Clancy-Lucid Funeral Home in Weymouth. A private burial will take place at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery in Weymouth.
