Campot, Maurice M. Jr – Born in Boston, MA, Sept 10, 1927 and moved as a toddler to Saint Pierre, France, to live with his grandmother, Frances Campot (Fitzgerald). Maurice later returned to the U.S. & served honorably in the US Army during the Korean War. He married his sweetheart Anita Girard, settled together in Weymouth & enjoyed 60 beautiful years of marriage, until her passing.

Maurice was talented with electronics, motors, optics and most all things mechanical. He always had an invention in the works. Trained & educated as an Electronic Engineer, he also acquired several specialty certifications including from M.I.T. He was a member of the faculty at Harvard University – the NASA Space program in the 1970’s, and retired from the MBTA in the 1990’s.

His greatest joy was time spent with his family. He will be remembered for his integrity, honesty, loyalty, humor & kindness.

He leaves his children; Michael, Richard, Denise (predeceased), Yvette, Renee & Jeannine, all from the south shore. Grandchildren Joseph and Sophia, great granddaughter, Kate & many nieces & nephews. He was the brother of the late Cecil Campot & had many other dear family & friends.

His Funeral Mass was privately held at Sacred Heart Church in Weymouth followed by a military burial at Village Cemetery, Weymouth.
