Hanover – Maurice E. Harvey, age 86, entered into eternal life on October 19, 2018. Maurice was born and raised in Harrow, England, immigrated to Massachusetts in 1958, settling in Quincy until moving to Hanover 35 years ago. Maurice was the former owner of Hancock International Travel in Quincy for over 25 years, retiring in 2000. Mr. Harvey was a longtime parishioner and usher of St. Mary’s Church in Hanover. He was a member and past grand knight of the Braintree Knights of Columbus Council 1462 the Hanover Lions Club and the Braintree Men’s Club Beloved husband of the late Brenda (Aspland). Devoted father of Geraldine Connelly and her husband Brian of Plymouth, and June Harvey-Tahaney of Quincy and her fiancé Robert Robbins. Loving grandfather of Rachel, Emily, Nathaniel, Todd, William, Mary and Heather. Great-grandfather of Emma-June and Brayden Nathaniel. Beloved brother of Ann Oliver of England, and the late Ellen Jones.
Funeral from the Clancy-Lucid Funeral Home, 100 Washington St. Weymouth on Wednesday October 24 at 7:40 am. Funeral Mass in Saint Helens Church, 383 washington street Norwell at 9 am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours on Tuesday from 3-5 and 7-9 pm. Cremation to follow.
