Patricia A. Marcotte, 91, of Weymouth, MA, passed away peacefully on June 23rd, surrounded by her loving family, after a battle with congestive heart failure and pneumonia.

Born to Catherine and Francis Cronin, Pat was one of six children raised in Newton, MA. 

Pat lived a life full of adventure and passion. From serving as the social secretary to Massachusetts Governor Peabody’s wife and being a stewardess with American Airlines during the glamorous 1950s, to pursuing a career as a professional singer, she embraced life with open arms. Pat loved the outdoors, enjoying activities such as snow skiing, water skiing, swimming, horseback riding, and sailing. She also took the challenge of returning to college as an adult, earning a degree in Psychology, graduating Magna Cum Laude at the age of 50.

Above all, Pat’s greatest love was her family. She was a dedicated and devoted wife and mother, and a champion for those she loved. Pat was a loyal friend, sister, and neighbor, with a charisma that drew people to her. She had an uncanny ability to see the good in everyone and was quick to express her admiration and affection. Her presence was a powerful blend of strength and love.

Pat is survived by her husband Ron, her son Paul and his wife Nicole of St. Petersburg, FL, and her son Matt and his husband Mario of Boston, MA. She will be dearly missed but will live on through the countless stories and cherished memories shared by all who knew her.

A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady Queen of Peace Parish at Sacred Heart Church in Weymouth Landing on Monday, July 1 at 10 A.M.. Burial to follow at Saint Paul’s Cemetery, Hingham. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Pat’s name to South Shore Conservatory, 1 Conservatory Drive, Hingham, MA. 02043
