Patricia A. (MacDonald) Gillan entered eternal life on August 18, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. Patricia was born and raised in Judique, on beautiful Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada. She came to Massachusetts at the age of 19, and met her late husband Philip Gillan (Prince Edward Island, Canada) at a Canadian American Dance at the Rose Croix Hall in Roxbury, Mass. They married and raised their four children in Weymouth, where Patricia has lived for the past 58 years.
Devoted and loving mother of “The Girls”, Darlene Gillan of Weymouth, Gail Giles and her husband Michael of Weymouth, Cheryl Coveney and her husband John of Weymouth, Linda West and her husband Bob of Weymouth.
Sister of the late Mary (Tine) White, formerly of Weymouth, late Elizabeth Ayres, formerly of Quincy, late Gregory MacDonald, formerly of Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia, Canada, and the late Cyril MacDonald, formerly of Judique, Nova Scotia, Canada.
Loving “Nanny” of Shannon, Shaun, Colleen, Philip, Robbie, Kaliegh, and the late Gregory.
Much loved “Aunt Tishie” of many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours at the Clancy-Lucid Funeral Home 100 Washington St. Weymouth on Friday, August 25th from 8 AM until 9:45 AM. followed by a Funeral Mass in the Sacred Heart Church Weymouth at 10:30 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Burial in Mount Hope Cemetery, Weymouth. If desired, donations can be made in Patricia’s name to the Weymouth Food Pantry at weymouthfoodpantry.org.

And look at the beautiful family they raised together. I am hoping to see you all this fall. Fran has had recent surgery and unable to travel ( but is recovering well).
