Weymouth- Paul P. LoPorto SR age 96 entered into eternal life on August 29, 2017. Paul was born and raised in Quincy and has lived in Weymouth for over 60 years. Paul was a WWII Army veteran. Mr. LoPorto was a ship-fitter in the Charlestown Naval Shipyard. Paul also worked for the Town of Weymouth for many years. He belonged to Disabled American Veterans Chapter 29 in Braintree. Beloved husband for 72 years of Mary M. (Pagnano). Devoted father of Paul P. Jr. and his wife Lee of Braintree and Thomas and his wife Judy of Abington. Beloved brother of the late Matthew, James, and Zetta. Loving grandfather of Shawn of Florida, Jennifer Shectman and her husband Jerome of Newton, Nicole Nicolan and her husband Brendan of Abington, and Robert LoPorto and his wife Lindsay of Dedham. and 6 great-grandchildren: Tyler, Kylie, Adam, Abigail, Alex, and Ava. Funeral service at the Clancy-Lucid Funeral Home, 100 Washington St. Weymouth Landing on Friday, September 1 at 10 am. Visiting hours on Thursday from 6 until 9 pm. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
