Rita M. Brooks Hanover-Rita M. (Bowen) Brooks, age 95, entered into eternal life on May 17, 2021. Rita was born and raised in Dorchester and South Boston, lived in Quincy for many years before moving to Weymouth in 1981 and then in Hanover for 15 years. She graduated from South Boston High School.  Mrs  Brooks  worked at North Quincy High School and then at State St. South in Quincy. and the Mass Department of Social Services in Weymouth from where she retired. Rita was a parishioner of the Sacred Heart Church. She served as a warden at election polls in Quincy.   Beloved wife of the late Henry W. Brooks. Devoted mother of William  of Plymouth, Suzanne Brooks of Mashpee, Arlene Brooks of Brockton Gerald  and his wife Silvie  of Holbrook, Stephen  and his wife Barbara of Brockton, Gregory and his wife Patricia of Hanover, Regina Luchini of Franklin and Philip Brooks of Hanover. Loving grandmother to William, Christina and Elizabeth. Beloved daughter of the late Mildred and James Bowen.  Beloved sister of Mildred  Sullivan of  Yarmouth, Paul Bowen and his wife Janice of Needham and the late Helene Costello, James Bowen and John Bowen. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Mother-in law of the late Joseph Luchini. Funeral from the Clancy-Lucid Funeral Home, 100 Washington St. Weymouth Landing on Friday May  21 at 9:30 AM. Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church Weymouth at 10:30 AM. The Mass will be live streamed on the YouTube channel; type in SHSTM Collaborative. Once on the channel home page, put her  last name in search and hit enter.  This video can be viewed any time in the next few months when you can join in prayers for her. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.  Covid precautions are in order. Visiting hours on Thursday from 4 until 8 PM. Burial in Village Cemetery, Weymouth

    AUNT RITA WAS ALWAYS KIND AND WELCOMING AS I RECALL HER GROWING UP. AMAZING WOMAN WHO WILL BE MISSED.
