BRAINTREE – Rose A. (Morganelli) Bingamon, age 96, entered into eternal life on May 31, 2022. Rosie grew up in Roxbury, and had lived in Braintree for 46 years. Rose worked at the former Elihu White Nursing Home in Braintree. Prior to that she worked at Boston City Hall. Although Rose grew up as an A student and wanted to go to a high school to prepare her to be a teacher, which was her passion, her parents instead forced her into an alternate school with no high school diploma, which devastated her. Rose told me that a few years later her father, in tears, apologized to her. Rose later started a family with my father, Roy, and became a stay-at-home mother devoted again to her family and passion for teaching -especially math- by helping her sons, along with help and devotion from our father Roy, with the education which was denied her. Rose and Roy got after their sons to study hard each day, eventually leading to her son James to be high school valedictorian and John to be a top student at Boston Latin school, which led to four year scholarships for both sons to Boston University. Rose later studied hard and successfully achieved her GED Diploma she always wanted. Rose was a strong and steadfast ProLife Catholic, always prayed and was extremely devoted to the Blessed Mother. “This, her devotion ..” she said gave her the strength to endure all the daily struggles in her life. Rose was truly a living Saint and rest assured that God the Father, Jesus and the Blessed Mother have a special place for Rose in Heaven. Beloved wife of the late Roy J. Bingamon. Devoted mother of James and John Bingamon of Braintree. Sister of the late Mary MacDonald, Lilly Ogles, Daniel Sr. and Patrick Morganelli Sr. Aunt to Sandra, Susan, Patrick Jr. Kathy , Daniel Jr , Lee, Lance, and the late Donald MacDonald and to several other nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Clancy-Lucid Funeral Home, 100 Washington St. Weymouth Landing on Saturday June 4 at 9:30 AM Funeral Mass in the Sacred Heart Church Weymouth at 10:30 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours on Friday from 6-9 PM. Entombment in St. Michaels Cemetery, Boston. If desired, donations may be made in her memory to Mass Citizens for Life, 529 Main St. Boston, Ma. 02129.
