Theresa McDonnell Turenne
Braintree – Theresa (Boulais) McDonnell Turenne, age 90, entered into eternal life on January 18, 2018. Theresa was raised in Danielson CT, the 6th of 7 children. After marrying John L. McDonnell in 1948, she joined him in Braintree where they raised their 7 children and she helped manage the family business, Frazier Oil Company. She became a travel agent at age 60 and traveled the world for 15 years. A resident of Braintree for 50 years, she retired to Falmouth in 1999 and moved to Hanson where she has resided for the past 5 years. Theresa was devoutly religious and was a parishioner of Saint Joseph the Worker Church in Hanson and Our Lady of the Lake Church in Halifax. She was actively involved in various clubs and activities in her community and loved to read, sew, quilt, and was an avid game player. However, her greatest joy was spending time with her loving family. She was predeceased by her husband John L. McDonnell and son J. Stephen McDonnell. She was the devoted mother of Daniel McDonnell and his wife Patricia of Abington, Thomas McDonnell and his wife Colleen of Braintree, Donna Cannone and her husband James of Pembroke, Karen Anderson and her husband Michael of Norton, William and his wife Catherine of Temple, NH, Terence and his wife Deborah of Abington, and daughter-in-law Margaret of Foxboro. She was the loving mémère to Matthew and Anthony McDonnell, Christopher, Gregory, Timothy, and Allison McDonnell, Cameron and John McDonnell, Lauren and Kellie Cannone, Sean and Colleen McDonnell, and Caroline and Michael McDonnell. She was the beloved sister of Madeleine Socquet of Danielson, CT, Roland Boulais and his wife Nancy of Greenville, RI, and Rita LaBelle of Killingly, CT. Funeral from the Clancy-Lucid Funeral Home, 100 Washington St. Weymouth Landing on Wednesday, January 24 at 10:45 AM. Funeral Mass in Saint Francis of Assisi Church, Braintree at 12:00 PM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours on Tuesday from 3-8 PM. Burial in Braintree Cemetery.
