Weymouth – Virginia B. Daley entered into eternal life on January 14, 2018 after a period of declining health surrounded by her loving family. Ginny recently enjoyed celebrating her 90th birthday with her family and friends. She was born and raised in Braintree and has lived in Weymouth since 1948. Virginia worked at the Boston Gas Company where she met her late husband. After her daughters were grown, Mrs. Daley worked at the N.E. Telephone Company for over 20 years. A lifelong parishioner of Sacred Heart Church in Weymouth, she was active in many church and community organizations. She enjoyed traveling, reading, going out to eat with friends and family, and watching the CatholicTV. She was also an avid Red Sox fan. She felt extremely blessed to have been able to remain in her home of almost 65 years with the assistance of her loving daughters. She was the beloved wife of the late Francis Coyle Daley and devoted mother of Kathleen (Eugene) Bourquin of Avon, CT, Mildred Daley of Weymouth, and Janet (Jeffrey) Paru of Hanson. Loving grandmother of 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Funeral from the Clancy-Lucid Funeral Home, 100 Washington St., Weymouth Landing on Thursday, January 18, at 9:30 am. Funeral Mass in the Immaculate Conception Church, East Weymouth at 10 :30 am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours on Wednesday from 5-8 pm. Burial in St Francis Xavier Cemetery, Weymouth.
